Janushirasana is a yoga pose that helps you to stretch your hamstrings, groins, shoulders, and spine. It also improves digestion, stimulates the liver and kidneys, relieves anxiety, headache, symptoms of the menstrual cycle and menopause, and is therapeutic for high blood pressure, insomnia, and sinusitis.
The Sanskrit word, “Janu” means Knee and “Shirsa” stands for Head. The Pose is done by keeping your head at your knee. It improves digestive fire (Jatharagni), reduces constipation and strengthens lungs.
